One of Hamilton’s newest eating locales was tastefully designed by Entasis Architecture. Transformed seamlessly from a jewelry store into a gem of a Victorian-styled pub, Astwood Arms is the closest thing to a charming and authentic English pub that one can experience on Front Street.
The BS&R Group fabricated and spray-finished the wooden casement windows and entrance door. Seeded glass was chosen for the dozens of window sash glass panels. This visual effect utilizes air during the glass-making process to create a semi-transparent bubbled appearance. Considered an ‘obscure’ glass, seeded glass is intended to mimic antique glass in both appearance and in the manner in which it blurs objects on the other side.
Astwood Arms has been incredibly popular since its doors opened, and we are grateful to have played a part in its charming appeal.
