Our latest project feature highlights both interior and exterior work that took place during a residential home renovation.
We had the pleasure of working with local Architects ‘Benevides & Associates’ to arrive at an aesthetic that embraced a contemporary theme while incorporating traditional elements of a Bermuda home.
We first stripped a complete furniture set in a guest room and spray finished it with a high-gloss white paint that not only helped liven the room but also made it appear like a brand new bedroom set.
We also fabricated doors, flooring and interior railings that finish off the modern and contemporary look of the house.
For the exterior of the property we built a radius fence, storage units, and various posts for railings. We used a variety of lumber throughout the various jobs. Bermuda Cedar was used for the doors and posts, Alaskan Yellow Cedar for the sauna, and reclaimed pinewood for the flooring.
Outdoor storage units were designed and built to house a gas cylinder, and for storing sporting equipment and outdoor recreation items. These allowed the homeowner to maintain their tidy outdoor aesthetic. We also built a radius fence by using slat dimensions similar to those found on traditional shutters and secured them to posts. Radius fences can sometimes require sophisticated templates; however we were able to find a solution without the complexity and over-expense.
Last but certainly not least we worked on a wine cellar and residential sauna, which both turned out so beautifully we put similar ones on our personal bucket lists. We thoroughly enjoyed creating these modern pieces and integrating a traditional Bermudian feel. Working on these multi-faceted projects like this renovation allows us to showcase our wide range of skill and expertise.
